Description: Leeward reefs are calm with flat water lines under light morning breezes under 5 mph. Baby Beach is completely sheltered behind the outer reef wall. Olowalu reef flats have a minor 1β3 ft swell wrap wrapping across the shallow coral gardens, allowing water clarity to settle into a good-to-fair range.

Description: Marginal: A new, long-period south swell is peaking today, generating breaking wave heights of 4β6 feet across South Maui. Β This morning the water is calmer in the Kamaole Beaches & Keawakapu area, including Ulua. Further south surf is rougher. Subsurface wave energy is churning up bottom sand, keeping the water columns hazy with fair visibility ranges.

BEST TIME TO GO: Mid-morning window (9:00 AM to 12:30 PM) for flat reef slots along Northwest Maui (Kapalua or Honolua). South Maui is below advisory warnings but carries heavy surge and sand haze from the peaking swell.
