Kama’aina Kaneohe Bay Kayak & Snorkel Adventure
This SB Oahu crew favorite is a fun 3-hour Kaneohe Bay kayak & snorkel adventure, great for all ages, no experience necessary. The small, 16 person format with personal kayak guide & escort boat is relaxed and low key, with narrative about sea life, history and culture of He’eia Hawaiian fish pond and Moku ‘o Lo’e or Coconut Island (where Gilligan’s Island was filmed). All children must be able to wear a 30 lb. to 50 lb. life jacket.
The adventure begins with a safety briefing and boat tow halfway to Coconut Island, followed by a .50 mile kayak and 45 minutes of snorkeling on a vibrant and abundant patch reef. Paddle the mile home downwind under your own steam or take it easy with a boat tow. BBQ lunch upon return (BBQ chicken, ribs, veggie burgers, corn, rice and salad). Includes FREE round trip transportation to & from Waikiki. This one goes every day except Sunday and Federal Holidays. Proceeds from the tour benefit the non-profit educational organization Kamaiana Kids, who maintain He’eia Park for the public.
*Complete tour time is 4-hours with post-tour BBQ lunch. Current COVID updates: Trip format has changed to only 4-people max instead of 16, almost your own private tour! Granola bars will be provided, no lunch due to Covid restrictions. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
