I reserved equipment and went next day to pick up, the lady on the counter was so honest and told me today is not a good day for snorkeling according to the wave heights. She saved me time and money, ingot a great turtle T shirt from them.

Every time in Hawaii we rent from them. Very helpful and when there are issues they take care of them immediately. If visually impaired they have prescription googles to help you have a jaw dropping experience when snorkeling or boogie boarding or more

Gear we rented was solid - note they manufacture their own gear so we wanted to support the employees who make the products. They have some nicer feature gear also. I think experienced snorkelers will love this place and conveniently located across from the food truck park near the Hilton in Lahaina.
Picked equipment up & returned to Snorkel Bobs. While in the shop. We had the pleasuring of Tabatha working that day. She was great! Understanding & very helpful to help us with our needs. Friendly and communicated well. Assist in any she is able too. A memorable person you cross paths with while on vacation.
I was scared because I wear glasses with prescription and thought I wouldn't be able to see anything underwater, but at Snorkel Bob's they have snorkeling equipment and they adjust it to your prescription, so it was amazing. I was able to see a few sharks thanks to this!

Very good experience here. Easy and quick in-and-out for snorkel rentals, $50 rentals for whole week. Fitting took about 5 mins and I was out the door. Great customer service
They have prescription lens masks for almost any type of vision! So helpful. We were able to rent prescription masks, snorkel, and fins same day. Haven't used them yet but we were delighted by the ready availability of the prescription lens masks. You can mix and match the strength you need for each eye (e.g., -3.0 left, -2.5 right).
Update: After using the snorkel and mask, I can say that yes, they were definitely worth it. We upgraded to the Moflow snorkel. I could tell that more air flowed through it. They worked much better than hotel- or boat-provided snorkels and masks.
As an added bonus, when you reserve online, they give you a free turtle tote bag. It looks great and is high quality, actually. Would cost at least $15 in any souvenir shop.
For snorkel areas, I recommend Kaimana beach and Turtle Canyon (the latter requires a boat ride out there). But these are the only 2 places we visited. Bob's actually provides daily recommendations on places to snorkel if you call them.
Re fins, note that the upgraded fins aren't available in size 13 or larger.
