Kona Luaus (& Waikoloa)
Voyagers of the Pacific Kona Luau
This Kona luau begins with a shell lei greeting (they never learn*), followed by mai tais, a traditional Imu Ceremony (disinterment of the pig), luau buffet and one of the best Polynesian shows in Hawaii. The show features Tahitian, Hawaiian Hula, New Zealand Maori Haka, Fijian and the Samoan Fire-Knife dances.

Kalua pig, Fish, Island Chicken, Chicken Lau Lau, Pulehu (Teriyaki Beef), Lomi Lomi Salmon, Hawaiian Sweet Potatoes, Rice, Tomato & Onion Salad, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Green Salad, 3 Bean Salad, Pineapple, Coconut Rolls, Poi, Coconut Cake, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Haupia, Kona Coffee, Fruit Punch, Mai Tais and Open Bar.
*Please decline the shell lei harvested at the expense of my, SB’s, fish buddies.
Haleo Kona Luau
This luau goes every Monday & Friday at The Sheraton Keauhou Bay. You get the mai tais, shell lei greeting*, luau feast with the pig, the poi, the show, open bar, and plenty of fire. This is a traditional luau with Polynesian and Tahitian dancers. Pre-show the dancers mingle and talk about Hawaiian culture and language. The luau tells the history of the Keauhou people, King Kamehameha III and surfing stories of He’eia Bay.

Oceanfront on the ancient lava flow of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort Kona.
Kalua pork, New York Strip Loin, Mahi Mahi, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Poi, Poke (local specialty with ahi & soy sauce, sesame oil & other ingredients), green salads, fruit platters, desserts and open bar.
*Please refrain from taking the shell lei, which comes at the expense of my, SB’s, fish buddies.
Waikoloa Beach Marriott Luau
This oceanfront luau goes every Monday & Wednesday at ‘Anaeho’omalu Bay, Waikoloa. Cocktails, music, hula dancing, Hawaiian games, a conch shell blowing contest and fashion show start the evening. Dinner begins after the Imu ceremony (unearthing of the pig). This is a Polynesian luau with dances from Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaii & Samoa and fire knife dancers.
